Too far, too fast
Yesterday, I was still holding on really really tight to somebody I love, completely worn out after NUS, and desperately in need of some rest... and now I've been in BKK for a day, and find myself completely shell-shocked, yet not able to get any rest because I don't have enough time to get my flight ticket to Egypt, go pick up all my mother's groceries, visit my mother's best friend and my aunt, go shopping for clothes to wear in an Arab country... If last minute planning runs in the family, it must be from my father's side... first the visa, now the last minute ticket before Christmas.
I'm going to stress myself to sleep tonight. Yay.
I'll have more time to update this blog in Egypt. Too much time. Aaargh.
Nothing is ever right, is it?
On a lighter note, however, I DID wake up by my own accord this morning (well, a four hour time difference helps), without being woken up by an alarm clock... for the first time in months! Spent the day in Central Chidlom, Maboonkrong and Emporium with Indy, his nanny, my sister in law and my brother (without bursting out in tears at any point!!) and got 11 new CDs! Good stuff... the person in the store looked at me funny when I arrived at the desk with 15 CD's to listen to... and then she realised that I was actually going to buy most of them and she started looking at me a bit strangely. Then when I listened to each CD for only about five seconds before deciding whether I wanted them or not, I think I must have confirmed to her that I come from Mars. I know what I want. Is that a crime? The whole operation in and out of the shop took less than fifteen minutes.
Alba, my little puppy has been ultra cute and has been growling at me every opportunity she gets to express her sulkiness at me having abandoned her with two big male dogs for a year. But she conveniently forgot about her grumpiness last night and snuggled up close to me all night. Yes, I love my dog, but I'd really rather have somebody else holding me close all night long...
You know who you are. Heck, so does everyone else who reads this blog. Why do I bother?
Today, Alba has been mistaking my feet for wild rabbits or some such huntable rodent, and Indy seems to be under the impression that he needs to hand over his entire toy collection to me. The pile is growing next to this computer chair as I speak.
I guess that means that I should head off to have a few precious moments of play with my nephew.
