Shout-outs
Hello all you beautiful people...
I feel strangely nostalgic today (could have to do with lack of sleep!) and I feel like I really should be acknowleging a few people in my life... in case they are feeling left out...
Sidhaesh... thanks for being so patient with me! I know I've had so little time, and my voice is still gone - don't know what to do with myself, and I'm sure you don't either!
PK... it was really nice to catch up with you on a personal level (even if we did have a heated discussion about conference at one stage!). I know I did most of the talking (as I am apt to do!!), but I'm glad it was about us as individuals, too - not just NLC!
Isa... thanks for breaking the ice - i really needed that! I feel much more moralised right now, and ready to face my studies with a little more enthusiasm!
Pankaj... I haven't talked to you in ages! I was just thinking - work is one thing, personal relations another. Regarding work, I didn't really have too many disputes with you - and even if I did, it doesn't matter. And I don't hold grudges for personal issues. Give me a buzz sometime, or we should chat on msn!
Jesse... don't know if you read this anymore... but been thinking of you, too! Would love to catch up with you some time in the near future - perhaps in Barcelona??! Hehe.... oh, well... perhaps when you are done with your PhD!
Emma.... I'm so sorry I got you sick too, or are you sick for other reasons? Psychosomatic? No? Then, I'm sorry! Shouts to this very special girl's family, too!
Itt... thanks again for hosting a very very sick me and taking care of me when I was sick, even though you must have been bored off your balls!
Cherrine, Doorshy, Song Yee... good luck on your roles in NLC! I hope you all start working together as a team and get some good stuff going!
Sharon... who recently had a birthday
Tedy... where on earth are you nowadays? Haven't heard from you in aaaaages!
Mimo and Antti.... getting married soon... I'm excited for you!
Sarinda... you are always there for me, always a shoulder for me to lean my head on if I need a rest, always a pair of arms that will hold me whenever I feel that the world is working against justice, always messing up my hair... you rock! A true friend, indeed!
Sachin... you've really been amazingly supportive and a great conversationalist, even though we've known each other such a short time! Can't wait to get to know you better in Queensland!
VIC caucus... you guys are so much fun - love you all!
Vijay and Jeremy... my future housemates - please don't forget me in the next month and a half! I can't wait to move in and start mucking about in the kitchen and making all sorts of things for you guys to try ;)
My grandmother... she's still here with me
Tenzing... so busy now with Hani that you've forgotten all about your friends :(
Steve... I haven't heard from you in quite a while... how are the kids? What's happening in your life? How's our project doing?
Ginny... I know you are happy now, things are looking up. Good for that! I'm glad I was able to be of any assistance at all!
Ma... really, I do miss you a lot, I'm just having trouble finding the time to pick up the phone and call anyone at the moment
My family in Thailand... especially Indy, Inc, and Sand! I miss you all a lot and want to come back to Thailand as soon as I can!
Akshay and Aditya... thanks for coming over for lunch and appreciating the food... I love cooking for people who like to eat :)
Yogeeta... thanks for that really sweet message you sent me on friendster... it's really great to feel appreciated, especially for somebody I have a lot of respect for myself!
NLC National Exec (including Adrian and Tedy, our 'honoraries')... I've thanked a few people separately already, but honestly, I'm so happy I had a chance to work with you all this past year. It's been amazing. I hope to see more of you all in the future, be it in the context of NUS or NLC or ... JUST COME VISIT ME AS A FRIEND!!!
I probably missed a few names... no offence is intended by that. I just don't have enough memory space in my head, it appears...
