Is it just me?

Or is everyone too busy to update their blogs and read each others blogs right now?

Guess it's that 'uni' time of the year, when everyone realises how busy they actually are and stop blogging as much. I'm only blogging because I am procrastinating. I should be doing about 50 pages worth of law reading tonight, about 50 pages worth of reading for my fiction writing course, about 500 pages worth over the next week for literature, and yeah... that's it for now. I'm not usually at home to procrastinate, so that's why I haven't been blogging...

I've had the most pleasant diversion over the weekend, though - and I even set aside time to read (and procrastinated by playing around with my printer and burning CD's etc. and didn't get any of it done). This has been the third absolutely amazind weekend in a row. If my company keeps being consistantly good at this rate, I'll be failing all my courses for sure - so I better start devising a method to start disliking some of my friends... or? Perhaps that wasn't such a great idea after all.

Do I sound a little scatterbrained writing all of this? My apologies - I am right now. It's that good ol' time o' the month again... I've been trying to study all day today - for the past 8 or 9 hours, and all I've done is eat and cut up pictures and do absolutely nothing. In fact, I seem to be suffering some form of amnesia about this afternoon. How does 9 hours go by in the pursuit of absolutely nothing (apart from blank CDs and frozen blackberries?

I'm confused.

Echo is coming out on Wednesday! Keep a look-out for it! I pulled an all nighter on Tuesday to get the damned thing done, so please - give it a little bit of attention! I was up until 8 a.m., then got up, took a shower, and went for a 10 a.m. fiction writing workshop. Strangely enough, during the class, I got a lot of writing done - in fact, I couldn't stop writing - but the thing is, I was in such a zone I can't remember what it is that I wrote! Scary...

My weekend started off with going over to Sarinda's place for a chat and a glass of wine... Later on, Tenzing, Honey, Adrian (I got yet ANOTHER compromising photo of him, which I won't post this time :) and a few more of Sarinda's friends came over, too. Again, I always have a great time with the Swinburne people, and yes, I definitely left Sarinda's place in a considerably better mood than the one I was in when I got there! The mood carried on, and ended up wandering around downtown with Sidhaesh for ages, just chatting and generally being contented to do nothing and being completely indecisive.... and happy... did I mention happy?

Friday, during the daytime, I had a good wander around Victoria Markets, and then went to this Chinese vegetarian grocery all the way out in Footscray that I discovered out the bus window the previous weekend on the way to Julian's house. I must have bought around $70 worth of vegetarian goodies such as mock fish, chicken, beef, etc, and mushroom fluff, salapao... you name it! Had to rush home to drop it all off before finally ending up at the Moomba festival covering my ears as the fireworks went off (why do loud sounds and crowds freak me out so much?)...

After the festival, we wandered back to around the vicinity of Flinder's street station. These guys SERIOUSLY need a joint... or so we concluded between the six of us there watching these guys 'lift off'.

bemused expressions were the way to go when encountered with the aforementioned spectacle

Honey and I got bored of the convertors and thought we'd act cute instead :)

After finally managing to tear ourselves away from the choral music of the train station, we went on to Collingwood to check out Barbukka (because I've once published a review of the place, yet I've never actually been there). It was pretty decent. I had a good chat with one of the guitarists afterwards, and committed to bringing a bigger group of people to listen to them next Saturday. Will be done. Plus, we should be having a jam session next Sunday, too - should be good fun.

The last sunny day of the year - too bad it was just so damned hot that taking a few pictures outside was just such a trial! But aye, the Yarra does look beautiful on a hot summer Sunday...

Before finally heading back to Sidhaesh, Veejay and Jeremy's place for a veggie steamboat (YUM!), we still caught up with Ginny for a coffee... she had suddenly moved house - without telling anyone, as usual.
